This class is a certified comprehensive, Extreme Close Quarters Combat course that deals with defensive Hand-To-Hand Combat. Use of knives is extensive throughout the class and students will be instructed in both unarmed defense against a knife attack, and use of the knife as a weapon of last resort. This is a hard-core bare bones defensive tactics course. Our training is about "combat realities" faced by real officers in the real world. Fantasies about catching knife hands, instantly responding to a suspect's movement, and what you "can" do (if everything is perfect and everyone cooperates) will only get you killed. We understand that officers, because of their human response limitations, are behind everyone else on the street (action-reaction realities). We understand that much of staying alive and uninjured is understanding what you CAN'T do real world of fighting a suspect who is unsearched, desperate, and with unknown intentions. We have studied the real world realities of weapon retention, defense situations, knife attacks on armed officers, and provide training you can apply in the real world of real policing.
